What you pay for a home, depends entirely on the size of your home, your specifications, and the location. There are hundreds of variables at play affecting cost when designing and building a custom home. Because of this, we don’t have a standard price (or even starting price) per square foot that we charge. Instead, we work closely with you from the start to determine how to get the most out of your budget for your unique custom home.

The vast majority of homes we design and build feature an open floor plan, single level homes. Our homes are designed with “universal access” in mind.  This feature provides zero step entry from all exterior doors as well as the garage and patio areas. Widened areas include: hallways, doorways, walk-in showers without curbs or level changes as well as minimal kitchen modification.

Our home designer can work with you to develop a plan based on your living style.  Most of the homes we build offer a split floor plan which places the kitchen/living/dining areas central to the master suite and guest bedrooms.  This maximizes privacy for both the homeowners and their guests while providing a common gathering area.

Many of the homes we design provide an open kitchen/dining/living area that is similar to what you desire. Again, many of the homes we build are “open floor plans” that maximize the use of living space. Example: kitchen and island countertops often provide both seating and ample workspace.

In the Southwest, outdoor patio space is an extension of the home’s living space as the climate allows for outdoor enjoyment year-round. The patio area will be designed with your leisure and entertainment needs in mind. Various shade options are available. Aside from providing ample patio shade, taking advantage of the mountain views is important. Careful positioning of the home on the lot will maximize views while maintaining privacy. We and our designer position the home long before the plans are finalized with the site plan and GPS. This also maximizes the views from inside the home. This same technique of positioning helps determine what sides of the home will receive the summer sun.

We have worked closely with our custom cabinetry and counter companies for over 10 years. We can provide cabinetry and counter surfaces to suit any budget and style. Generally, we recommend Bosch appliances.
